I really don’t like the word counseling, it has connotations of needing ongoing and continuous help. Christian counselors are trained not to offer their clients solutions only help. Fear of getting sued I expect. The bible on the other hand says this in John 8:32. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”  V. 36. Therefore if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”  Now, that sounds like a solution to me. It is a principle we hold fast to in the knowledge that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

If we rephrased those scriptures, by replacing the words, ‘the truth’ with the name of ‘Jesus’ they would read like this: And you will know Jesus, and Jesus will set you free.”  V. 36.“Therefore if the Son (Jesus) sets you free, you will be free indeed.”  Jesus came to save us, to deliver us and to heal us that we might be discipled into serving the Kingdom.

Isaiah 61: 1-4. In action;

Salvation: The good news of the Gospel, Jesus the Savior.

Deliverance:  Release from the captivity of sin; past, present and future.

Healing: From things physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Discipleship:  Now free, a desire to learn more of and be in a deeper relationship with the Savior.

Service: We become the tools God uses to help rebuild and restore the lives of others as we share our testimony of what He has done and is doing for us.
