Born and raised in Taylorsville NC, Hal has been married to his wife Vickie for 47 years. They have two children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Hal has a General Contractors License and started ‘Hefner Builders Inc.’ in 1962. He is also on the board of directors of ‘Hefner Reels LLC’.

In 1990 he became a member of what is currently known as ‘New Life Christian Fellowship’ in Taylorsville, he is the leader and host of a home group which started in 1995. Hal became an Elder of the church in 2005 and is still active in that role.

Hal has always had a heart for missions and he has been on five mission trips to Chiang-mai in Thailand, eight trips to various parts of Russia, one trip to Costa Rica, four trips to Guatemala, one trip to the Ukraine and on many short term mission projects both locally and in various parts of the USA, all of which have been self funded.

Hal served as a board member of ‘First Citizens Bank’ in Hickory, NC from 2000 until 2005, he is currently on the board of ‘The Evangelistic Association of Russia’ and has been since 2002 and is Vice-President of ‘New Song Kingdom Ministries Inc.’ a role he accepted in 2011

Bob was born on May 16, 1962 in Abington, PA and is married to Hope who is a special needs teacher. They have three children Bobby 24, Lauren 22 and Jenna 20. Bob and Hope currently reside in Hiddenite which is near Taylorsville, NC.

He is the Director of equipment sales for ‘Continental Awards & Trophies’ of Memphis, TN. Bob moved to NC in 2006 after fourteen years of having his own business. He has been a believer for 24 years and felt called to move to the Alexander County area of NC.

Bob says: “On July 8, 2007 God completely healed my wife from 10 years of injuries and nerve damage incurred from a car accident. The Doctors had given her little or no hope of recovery or relief from the pain. This is the most amazing thing God has done for me. Now I hope to help spread the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by giving Him the use of my time and my talents."


Rev. Alan Cunningham BTh

Alan was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and began singing in churches when he was a boy of six. His voice has taken him into many places and situations throughout the years. He has appeared on television in the UK, Canada and the USA and has recorded eight Christian music CD’s. Alan also produced and appeared in a music video which was filmed on location in many of Northern Ireland’s beauty spots.

Alan has a diploma in Christian ministry and a BTh degree in Biblical Counseling. He has been in full time Christian ministry for over twenty years. In 1990 Alan founded and directed ‘Manna Ministries International’, a registered non-profit organization in both the UK and in the USA.

As well as ministering in the UK and Ireland, Alan began to travel in 1992 to the USA and Canada. The invitations to come and minister in the North American just kept coming and in 1998 he was ordained as a minister in North Carolina.

Alan moved to live in North Carolina in 2000, becoming an American citizen in December 2009. He is married to Ginger and they have eight children, five still living at home. Alan also has two children and four grandchildren living in Northern Ireland.

Alan resigned his position at ‘Manna Ministries International’ in the summer of 2004 and in the fall of that year he and Ginger founded ‘New Song Kingdom Ministries Inc.’ of which he is Executive Director. 

Alan currently travels in the USA, Canada and Ireland on behalf of ‘New Song Kingdom Ministries Inc’, he speaks in churches of all denominations and also ministers in prisons, nursing homes, and home-groups.


Rev. Ginger Cunningham Co-Founder

Ginger was born in Washington County, Tennessee and grew up in the rural county of Unicoi, TN. She now lives in Taylorsville, NC with her husband Alan Cunningham and four of her eight children.

By choice, Ginger is first and foremost a wife and mother. She home-schools four children, three adult children are in college and one teen is still in the local public high school.

Ginger has helped with youth and young adult groups in different churches she has been privileged to attend through the years. She began singing solos at an early age and has sung in church choirs, on praise and worship teams and just enjoys singing in general. Ginger and Alan sing duets together when the opportunity arises.

Ginger has worked with ‘Samaritan’s Purse’ groups in North Carolina and West Virginia and has been on mission trips to West Virginia and Alabama. She was part of a team of people who ministered in Northern Ireland in 1999. Ginger was the secretary for ‘Manna Ministries USA’ for a brief time.

Ginger is the Co-Founder and Vice-Executive Director of ‘New Song Kingdom Ministries Inc’. She takes an active part in keeping things running smoothly when Alan is away on ministry trips in the USA and abroad.


Joel Hollingsworth Board Member

William Joel Hollingsworth was born March 1, 1951 in Jacksonville, Florida USA. He is married to Debbie who is the Director of the ‘Christian Crisis Center’ in Taylorsville, NC and they have four children and eight grandchildren.

He received a BTh degree from ‘Liberty Bible College’ in Pensacola, Florida and a BA degree in History with a Teaching Certification from the ‘University of North Florida’ in Jacksonville.

Joel and his family spent eight years as missionaries and church planters in Germany and upon their return to the USA they continued their family Missionary work and Evangelism here in the USA.

He has been actively involved in mission projects abroad for over thirty-five years with a particular passion for the orphans and peoples of Romania. He travels to Romania at least once a year with much needed resources and supplies. Joel also participates in street Evangelism and vacation Bible schools for kids in both the city of Bucharest and on the beaches of Constanta. More recently Joel has been on two Missions Trips to Turkey visiting refugee camps near Vann.

Joel has been involved with ‘New Life Christian Fellowship’ Taylorsville from its earliest days and was an Elder for many years. He is currently a Board member of the Taylorsville ‘Christian Crisis Center’ and of ‘New Song Kingdom Ministries Inc.’ also based in Taylorsville, NC.


Richard Wilson Board Member

 Rich was born in Evanston IL December 8, 1948. He was saved and filled with the Holy Spirit in 1972 and begun to do street and coffee house ministry in Chicago before moving to Seattle WA in 1973 to go to Bible College.

Over the years Rich has served in various ministries such as singles ministries, children’s Sunday school, Royal Rangers, choirs and ensembles, tape ministries and sound board operation.

After leaving Bible College Rich got a job working for the ‘Boeing Corporation’, he worked there from 1979 to 2006. After a short period of retirement he went to work for ‘Intrepid Learning Solutions’ one of Boeing’s private contractors. Rich worked for them until July 2011 and is currently an Independent Business Owner with ‘CAN’ (All Communications Network).

 Rich lived in Everett WA for many years where he attended ‘New Life Foursquare Church’ in Everett, and ‘Victory Foursquare Church’ in Marysville, WA. He was actively involved with ‘New Life Prison Ministries’ which ministers to prisoners in various WA State prisons and ‘Spectrum Town Center’ which is a ministry to young families.

He has over the years been involved in short term mission trips to Haiti, China, two trips to both Russia and Mexico and more recently he visited Kazakhstan with a team from ‘New Life Prison Ministries ’.

Rich is a board member of ‘New Life Prison Ministries’, ‘Spectrum Town Center Ministries’ and was the west coast board representative of ‘New Song Kingdom Ministries Inc.’.

Since his retirement Rich has moved to live in Oldsmar Florida to be near family. Rich retains his membership on the ministries board of Directors.


Rev Leslie Spence

Leslie was born in Belfast Northern Ireland in 1945, and was brought up in the Presbyterian Church. He became a Christian in 1960 when he also transferred to the Methodist Church in Ireland. Leslie is a Foundation member of ‘Evangelical Alliance’ in Northern Ireland.

He was ordained as a minister in the Methodist Church in Ireland in 1984 and was working in the Lurgan Circuit in Northern Ireland with responsible for three churches in that circuit until his retirement in July 2015.

Leslie is also the Senior Methodist Chaplain in ‘Maghaberry Prison’ and is a member of the International Prison Chaplains Association. He also works closely with ‘Prison Fellowship’ Northern Ireland and with ‘Prison Fellowship International’ which is based in the USA. As well as traveling throughout the United Kingdom on prison and prayer ventures. Leslie has ministered widely in many countries including the USA, Canada, South Africa, Estonia, Germany, Spain, Greece, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden and Finland.

Leslie was the Chairman of ‘Manna Ministries International’ from 1998 to 2004 and during its move to the USA and its subsequent transition into becoming what it is today, ‘New Song Kingdom Ministries Inc.’. He is currently a board member and the UK representative for the ministry.
